If you ever played the card game of War as a child, then you know how to play Casino War. The game is very simple to play. A card is turned up for the dealer and for the player. The highest hand wins and this is what the players bet on.
Aces are always counted as high card, and suits don't matter. When the player has the higher card, the bet wins even money. When the dealer has the higher card, the player loses. The interesting part of the game occurs when there is a tie.
The player has two choices here. He can surrender in which case he will lose one half of the bet. If he doesn't want to surrender, he can go to War in which case he must make a bet equal to his original bet. The dealer will then burn three cards and give a card to the player and himself.
Again, high card wins the second bet with the first bet being a push. If the dealer wins, the player loses on both bets. If the War results in a tie, what happens next depends on the house rules which differ from place to place.
Some play with the original wager as on the first war, others have a tie bet. The house advantage comes from the rules concerning the tie where the player can surrender half the bet or go to War where he can lose two bets or win one.
